Basic Rider Course
This is about a 15-hour course spread out over 3 days. The class schedule is as follows:

You must attend all 3 days to earn your certificate, which in most cases will waive the driving portion of your test with DPS. We offer classes weekly at our Austin and Buda locations.
Austin Location - Reagan High School, 7104 Berkman Dr., Austin, TX 78752. For Thursday night's class, go to room 332 in the New Mall Building at Reagan High School.

Buda Location – Both classroom and range are held at the Buda Elementary School at 500 FM 967, Buda, TX 78610. The classroom will be held in the teacher’s lounge.

Scooter Training - We offer automatic scooters at our Austin location only. If you wish to train on a scooter, you MUST call the office to see if one is available for your class date and to reserve one.
Cost/Cancellation/Refund Policy – The cost of the course is $195. With payment in advance, your space is guaranteed in the class. If you choose to pay the night of the class, you will attend on a space-available basis. If you need to reschedule or cancel a class you are registered for and give at least a 48-hour notice, you can receive a full refund or be rescheduled at no charge. Anything less than 48 hours’ notice, there is a $50 fee to reschedule and no refunds are given.
Equipment Needed: Thursday night is classroom only. There is no need to bring anything to class. With class starting at 6 PM, we understand you may get held up in traffic. Just keep on coming!
For Saturday and Sunday, which are riding days, you MUST:
- Arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of time, so that you are ready to ride at 7 AM.
- Wear a long-sleeved shirt OR jacket.
- Wear long pants.
- Wear over-the-ankle footwear made of sturdy material that completely covers your ankle bone (such as boots).
- Bring eye protection (sunglasses, prescription glasses, etc.)
Helpful Hints:
- Bring rain gear, no ponchos (we ride in any weather).
- Bring sunscreen.
- Bring drinks & snacks (it’s a long day).
- Don’t wear boots with high heels (can make braking and shifting difficult).
